If the assessment is current, within the last three (3) months, and it is has results that we can work from, you do not have to re-test with us. In that case, the appointment should last about 20—30 minutes. |
|
Including testing, this appointment is usually a couple of hours. |
|
Submit the registration form for test prep sessions or call (for subject matter tutoring)for an appointment, and we will schedule and appointment with you. During your initial consultation and sign-up appointment, your child is given a comprehensive assessment test of the math and reading skills. We will propose a program consisting of a specified number of hours, which is designed to bring your child to the desired level. At the same appointment, you will select days and times for tutoring as well as set up your payment schedule. Tutoring can then start immediately. |

Our tutors work on reasoning skills with students, not just getting a correct answer. This way, our students build skills for life. Therefore, all tutoring is “hands on”. Your child will not be placed on a computer to work alone . We are also different in that we treat each student with a personal touch as we understand that every child is different. We do not have an assembly line. Work is adjusted with each passing session, depending on the child’s changing needs. |

We work with students both for remedial and for enrichment purposes. Over the years we have help with enrichment with students who were salutatorians at their high schools or who entered the special Duke University program after 7th grade. Whatever the need, we can serve you. |
