During the summer, during our individualized sessions, we work on weak skills from prior years. We also give homework and quizzes to make sure the information is learned. As the student is able, we preview upcoming work to help prepare them for the new school year.
We also offer special clinics during the summer. These clinics are discounted but still limited to a very small number of students per class. In these classes, we give an overview of what the student can expect to learn the following year. These courses have proven very effective over the years, with many of our students reporting A's when they begin the new school year.
Sometimes it seems that certain students are natural whiz kids. That is true occasionally. More often, students have done work over the summer to maintain and improve their skills. That's what we do here during the summer! We make the summer interesting, but we also make sure that it involves serious learning.
For our summer sessions, placement testing is given. Your child is then placed in the appropriate clinic or session for their skill level. A listing of summer clinics can be found below. Please click here, or scroll down.
